Now, this is a story all about how my life got turned around, and I’d like to take a minute just sitting right there, I’ll tell you how I became an intern at IH Concepts in a marketing pair.
In Los Angeles California, born and raised, at the beach where I spent most of my days. Chillin’ out maxin’ relaxin’ all cool and all painting and strumming outside of school, when it was time to apply to college, the answer was clear, UW-Madison I’d go, with all of the cheer!
Much like Will Smith’s character on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, I moved far away from home to a place I wasn’t too familiar with. People often ask me why I left sunny California to live in the Midwest. The answer on my part is always clear – I’m continuing my family legacy of proud Badgers. Three years later, I’m going into my senior year at UW studying Communication Arts and Computer Science. I have many passions, including art, music, literature, and technology.
My desire to work with people and my love of painting prompted my creation of my own business – Nails by Alex, two years ago. With this business, I have gained experience in both social media and marketing strategies. These experiences led to my addition on the IH Concepts Marketing team. As their social media intern, I research information about web design, post on both Facebook and Twitter about relevant information to IHC’s company values, and help organize content. I hope to gain more insight on both the coding process and social media aspect that goes into running this company. Thank you Ibrahim for this wonderful opportunity, see you all real soon!
