Just like the 90’s, the 00’s are also making a big comeback. The 2000’s was a different time than it is now; technology was starting to evolve more so and social media arose. To highlight this era, graphic designers focused on pastel colors with a big mix of bubblegum pink. The iridescent colors you see on the back of a CD is also very popular during this era. It can also be known as translating to “cyberpunk.”

The maximalism design trend does much more than just fill up some space. It fills up space with objects, shapes, colors, patterns, all different kinds of things you could think of. This type of design puts the artists ides all into one display. This is where colors and objects may clash with each other. Maximalism is just how it sounds, there is a whole lot to it.

3D design is already a known popular graphic design trend, so designers thought to add a twist to that. This year, a mashup of 2D illustrations and 3D visuals is going to be a very popular graphic design trend.

Most people are very familiar with motion design. It is commonly used in web design, animations, and logos. This type of design continues to trend in popularity in the digital age. This year, motion design is going to be the most popular design to use among brands looking to engage with their customers. Over the years, animations have become a part of a company’s story to express themselves and connect with people.

11. Shifting From Self-Indulgence


In 2022, a graphic design trend known as “shifting from self-indulgence” is rising. Ever since COVID, people’s priorities had started to shift towards other things. They are not so much focused on materialistic things anymore, rather, they are focused on self-care and prioritizing oneself. In this case, designs are starting to look much cleaner and sleeker. The design of shifting from self-indulgence will be very popular this year as many people can relate to this style.
