Some typography such as sans serif, distorted fonts, liquid gradients, flared fonts, condensed typography, and airbrush surrealism have made a comeback to showcase a brand’s uniqueness – from something clean cut and easily accessible to something quirky and creative.

Brands that are geared more towards families and young children may be leaning more towards a calming, yet playful color scheme and vibe this year. Soft pastel shades of pink, blue, purple, and green bring a light vibe that creates a comforting feeling.

This subtle style inspired by sweets can maintain a minimal design that captures the eye of the viewer and draws them in. This design trend creates a style that is fun, approachable, and easy to comprehend.

Design trends keep continuing to evolve, and lately there’s been an increase in futuristic designs; these typically are minimalistic with sleek, asymmetrical styles that suggest motion, with long clean lines. For example, some brands might decide to have a Sci-fi style logo.

Some designs need to tell an entire story in a single image or graphic; this style is a great way to communicate visual data and is popular for website headers and news articles because it keeps the reader’s eyes moving to capture the entire story/scene. This is usually an image presented in landscape form so it can be viewed from left to right, and is stylistically minimal to include several design elements.

AT&T decided to take step towards diversity and inclusion in the above. An emphasis on diversity and representing all types of people in branding and media has been growing for quite some time, and that’s especially true for 2023.

Diverse designs feature images of individuals of all races/ethnicities, all sizes, and with and without disabilities, to include and represent a wide range of people. This can be done in many ways, but is most effective when it is genuine and believable.
